Welcome to ScoreItUp LSAT Prep’s 3-L Blog! Of course, pre-law students reading this are likely to covet the idea of being a “3L” – the popular term used to describe a 3rd-year law student, who is only months away from graduating.
ScoreItUp’s use of the term “3-L” is slightly different, and designed to focus on the three things that pre-law students are likely to be most interested in knowing about:
- The LSAT
- Law School
- Lawyers’ Lives
Of course, the LSAT and getting into law school are the first obstacles. However, I think it is really useful to think about the “end game.” Will you enjoy law school? And, more importantly, will you enjoy being a lawyer? I am a practicing attorney who has worked as a lawyer in “BigLaw” firms, small law firms, government agencies, and taught law courses at numerous Universities (primarily UC Irvine). I know from personal experience how dramatically different these legal jobs are. It made sense to me to include a place where potential law students can gain insight into the actual practice of law, and decide if it may be interesting.
You won’t find any silly, random blog entries that have nothing to do with the law or law school. Instead, the focus of ScoreItUp’s 3-L blog is designed to be specific and narrow – providing you with a wide variety of information pertaining to the LSAT, law school, and lawyers’ lives.
If you look on the right-hand side you will see the various “categories” of information, including ScoreItUp’s “Most Popular” blog entries. You are encouraged to post a “comment” by any of the items that you wish. In addition, please feel free to contact me any time by email at mark@scoreitup.com, or by telephone at (949) 355-1413.
